Facing Reality

It is time for me to admit the truth. The boxes in the garage have come to life and have taken me hostage. As I type this, one of them is holding a tape gun to the back of my head. They tell me I do not have time to "play" on the computer. "Moving Day is only a week and four days away!" they shriek. I am helpless against them. They are even more demanding than my son, and their appetites are unending. "More, more, MORE!" they screech.

And so, I must face the fact that sooner or later (the boxes say sooner) I must actually pack up my computer in a box. I will not see my computer again until somewhere mid-June (or, at least, when June calendar dates hit the double-digits: 10, 11, 12, etc.). So, please, come back then. I (obviously) won't be able to blog for awhile.

Now I must go and feed more of these ridiculously voracious cardboard boxes from hell. (Ouch. Apparently, Cisco didn't like me calling him "from hell." "I'm from Cincinnati," he snivels. Whatever, you dumb box. Ouch.)

Oh no no, this will never do. You will just have to get a laptop and a satellite link.
If not, though, at least it's not that long. I waited just a bit over three months for my #%$@! household goods when we moved last year. I still want to cry when I think of it.

That Cisco looks fierce. I'll miss you and I promise to come back. Good luck with the move!

Just like the wicked witch of the west, carboard boxes are suspectible to water. Just remember that and you'll pull through alright!

Poo on you, and poo on Cisco. Poo on moving. Poo on change and poo on weeks of painful muskadillo deprivation.

Poo, I say!

I like kimberly's advice! Just take your stuff out of the box first so as not to ruin it with water. Just a thought.

You will be greatly missed! Luckily I have you on bloglines so I can catch you as soon as you come back. That's what stalkers do!

Happy packing and happy moving!

Ah, you will be missed! I do not envy you... moving is a PAIN! Blog when you can... I will patiently wait... well, maybe not patiently. Patience has never been a strong point of mine...

Wynne, don't let Cisco take control. Give 'im one of these and a couple o' those and you'll be the one holding the packing tape. Wah ka!

Oh Jeff. I'm shaking my head at Freshman-Christina. Sad that she made you dislike her so. No, she wasn't nice to you, although you should know that she was often TRYING to be funny...didn't succeed, but whatever. And yes, she's (hopefully) a lot nicer now. And no, I have no idea why I'm talking about myself in the 3rd person. At any rate, sorry for being a punk and nice to see you're still alive. What's up w/ Shannon? Wynne, do you know?

Chrisitna,

Sounds like you are very nice. I just talked to shannon today. We talked about the good ole bad days of ricks. any way, she reminded me that you brand of comedy was sarcasm. you must realize that i was raised in a town that hasn't "had irony since 84'." (Guess that movie quote.) also, i am sure that i pushed your buttons a time or two.

Wynne? Hellooooo?

I bet she's been gobbled by one of those man-eating western Washington bushes. Poor Wynne. I'm really going to miss her blog. Especially the post she could have written about being eaten by a man-eating bush.

wynne? WyNNe? WYNNE? Are you alive? I miss you. Please tell me you hate washington and are moving back to Vegas. We NEED you here.

When we drive by your old house Curtis says "I see Jake" and I remind him that you moved but he doesn't understand he just wants his friend/enemy back.

Please come back to us. If not here in Vegas at least in the blogger world.

does anybody have a phone number for wynne? can you check on her to see if she is okay? thanks and hoping she and her fam are doing alright since moving, kathleen :)

I have heard from a source of mine that Wynne did make is to Washington but that she has some problems with the place they were moving into and so they were looking for a new place.

Of course she should have moved into a new place by now. I will see if I can get more info from another friend who seems to have sold her house here in Vegas. I am sure she has some contact info.

Wynne, tomorrow is book club can you join us via web cam?

Thinking of you.

Just heard from Wynne (I'm sure some of you have as well). She's still settling in after a long period of making their new rental livable. She didn't say when she'd be back to blogging, but she's at least nearly back to sanity. Or as close to it as Wynne ever gets. :)

Marie - thanks for the update! :)
