THE CONTEST IS OVER! Click here to see the winners.

Original post as follows:

The idea is to give me your BEST Halloween-related links.

For example, here are a few that I have found over the years:
Carve a virtual pumpkin
Make a scarecrow
Site dedicated to all things Halloween
Ghost stories

And I know there are a lot more out there, and much better sites. (And if someone can find a link to a decent virtual haunted house that isn't cheese-ball or just stupid, I'd be eternally grateful.)

The winner will get a special Halloween package in the mail. From me. And it might even be worth getting, but then again, no, not really. But at least you'll be getting mail, right? Anonymous entries accepted, though if you win, you'll have to 'fess up sooner or later if you want your prize.

All you have to do is put your link in the comments section. How does one create links in the comments? Copy and paste this text into the comment space, and make sure to put your text and your link in.

Contest winner will be announced on midnight* of October 15th!

*No, not really. I won't be staying up that late. But I'm sure I'll get around to it sometime on the 16th. Maybe.

Is there ANYTHING better than an ice cream/Halloween combo? No? Check out Ben & Jerry's Halloween Fun Stuff. It's all pretty little kid-ish. But the ghoul smasher was kind of fun in the game section :)

I always love the creative halloween costumes. Here is a site that has all kinds of ideas for a unique, funny costume.

A few years ago I was a "Brain Donor" and dressed up in a hospital robe, had a bloody bandage around my head and was carrying a cauliflower. A lot of white powder on my face and big bags under my eyes completed the look. So fun!

Hey Wynne, I accepted your challenge. Here is the scariest
Haunted House I could find. It is a game, kind of. It took me a few minutes to figure it out but if I can do it so can you. Happy Halloween.

I found these instructions for making gelatin ears by following a link from a Lord of the Rings fan site. Yes, it shows what a big dork I am. Not strictly Halloween related since I spotted someone wearing elf ears for the premiere of The Two Towers but it would be a pretty awesome costume if the instructions didn't look far, far too complicated for the Average Joe (or Jane): http://www.alleycatscratch.com/lotr/Article/Ears.htm

Anything even Halloween-esque qualifies. Doesn't have to be strictly Halloween, that's just fine.

Also, you guys can send in AS MANY links as you want; there's no limit or anything.

How about a history of the jack-o'lantern? Or some Halloween superstitions.
